The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Acclaimed young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
An official for the company stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was taken subsequent to an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour involving young women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
He has published in excess of 40 works in total, including a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
