Plane Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

An aircraft transporting the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the jet's front window, as stated by an official statement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.

"The plane landed in accordance with standard protocol and everyone onboard, such as Pete Hegseth, is safe," an official representative stated in a public statement.

Hegseth was returning from a short visit to the city of Brussels at the time.

This event does not mark the initial instance that a US military aircraft carrying a high-ranking official has encountered mechanical issues.

In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was required to head back to Washington after encountering a mechanical fault.
