Mohamed Salah Offers Statement to Squad, Discloses Curtis Jones
Jones has disclosed that Salah said sorry to the group of players in the wake of the fallout from his public comments.

He was omitted from a key Champions League match following voicing frustrations and stating his rapport with Arne Slot had soured.
“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I apologise.’”
Arne Slot has chosen not to disclose on whether he got an explanation from the 33-year-old forward.
Looking Ahead
He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere was unchanged. “He was his usual self, he had a big smile on his face and we all treated him normally,” he continued.
Jones also noted that a teammate fighting for a place is a positive trait. “It's clear there are certain ways you can handle situations,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just sit out, then I think that’s concerning.”
Team Form
Their results have remained strong in the matches since the situation. The player is convinced the outburst were not designed to destabilise the squad.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, it has consistently come from a good place,” Jones concluded. “We’re past that now and we’re building chemistry, performing and on a positive run.”
