Eulogies Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

More than two weeks following the shocking loss of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt ready to express about his deep grief.

"Enough time has gone by that I can now articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted archival material from the production, adding that he could not remember "any day without joy".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob valued immensely. This is one of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a different essay, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles judge ruled to block the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the LAPD.

A legal directive issued a restriction on the investigation to restrict the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" connected to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the result of foul play, with a official listing noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the killings, public figures expressed different reactions.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, making provocative claims that were widely condemned by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the detractors last week. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan labeled the statements as "disturbing" and suggested they revealed a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan ended by proposing that an associate should have stepped in when the choice to comment on the tragedy was made.
